Anker’s soundcore 2 is a compact Bluetooth speaker with up to 24 hours of rated playtime, IPX7 water resistance, 12W stereo sound and BassUp. Great for travel, showers and campsites; too small to power a big party. It pairs with a second unit for stereo.
Description
The Anker soundcore 2 portable Bluetooth speaker is a small brick-shaped speaker built around three practical promises: long battery life, water resistance and decent bass for its size. It is designed to be tossed into a backpack without a second thought.
Getting to know the soundcore 2
Anker lists up to 24 hours of playback, an IPX7 water-resistance rating, 12W of stereo output and its BassUp processing for a fuller low end. Two units can pair wirelessly as a left-right stereo set. The rubberised, rectangular body is easy to wedge into a bag side pocket, and the controls are simple physical buttons rather than an app-first design.
Before you buy: will not fill a large space
Compare colours and bundles on the listing, as prices differ. The water rating relies on a sealed port cover, so close it firmly every time.
Using the soundcore 2 at home and away
It is a natural fit for hotel rooms, rental kitchens, campsites, pool decks and the bathroom shelf. On a weekend away, the battery figure means you can usually leave the charging cable at home for a day or two.
Battery life depends on volume, so expect noticeably less than 24 hours if you play it loud outdoors.
