Key features of the AirPods Pro 2

Apple lists active noise cancellation, Adaptive Audio, Transparency mode, personalised spatial audio, a USB-C charging case with Find My support, and hearing health features such as a hearing test and clinical-grade hearing aid feature for people with mild to moderate hearing loss in supported regions.

The AirPods Pro 2 in everyday routines

Commuting and flights with noise cancellation, calls with clear voice pickup, workouts thanks to sweat resistance, or everyday listening that switches between Apple devices.

Many of the best features, such as automatic device switching, spatial audio personalisation, the hearing aid feature and Find My for the case, rely on an up-to-date iPhone or other Apple device. Android users get basic Bluetooth earbuds with noise cancellation but lose much of the value. The hearing features depend on regional availability and software version, so check Apple’s site for your country. Try the different ear tip sizes included to get a proper seal, which affects both bass and noise cancellation. Battery life is good for a day of commuting, but heavy users will still top up the case regularly. AppleCare is worth considering since earbuds are easy to lose.
